NATO SFA COE: CONCLUDED THE 3rd SFA TNA WORKSHOP
The NATO Security for Assistance Centre of Excellence (NATO
SFA COE) and the NATO Stability Policing Centre of Excellence (NATO SP COE)
representatives joined the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) workshop in Vicenza,
Italy from the 19th to 22nd of December 2022.
The workshop concluded the Design Phase of the TNA, started
in Rome in October 2022, in accordance with the NATO System Approach to
Training (SAT process). The result was to establish a training solution which
conforms to NATO education and training requirements within the Military
Contribution to Peace Support (MC2PS) discipline.
The workshop was hosted by NATO SP COE and facilitated by
representatives of the Finnish Defence Forces International Centre (FINCENT),
and joined, in virtual mode, by representatives from the Joint Center for
International Security Force Assistance (JCISFA).
The Workshop ended with the drafting of the course control
document (CCD III) that sets the foundations for the creation of the first
“Advanced Seminar for Strategic Advising in SFA, SP, SSR”, which will improve
the competency and effectiveness of the Advisors while contributing to
implement the Security Sector Reform in crisis areas.
In 2023 NATO SFA COE will continue the co-operation with its
partners for the development of the other TNA phases. NATO SFA COE is fully
committed to support NATO in its transformation effort by providing innovative
education and training solutions.
