NATO SFA COE joined the EUROCORPS Academics
NATO SFA COE participated in EUROCORPS Academics in
Strasbourg which took place from the 13th to 15th February in preparation for
the NATO STEADFAST JACKAL 23 (STJA23) exercise.
The delegation illustrated how SFA is linked to the Military
contribution to Security Sector Reform (SSR) and with the upper level of
Stabilization & Reconstruction process and provided a short description of
Security Force Assistance principles, with an overview of the SFA framework and
activities. NATO SFA SMEs focused their briefings on how to perform SFA
Planning activities at the Operational level.
STJA23 is a SHAPE scheduled, operational and tactical level,
CPX/CAX that will train EUROCORPS and its associated units in planning and
conducting a Non-Article 5, Small Joint Operation with limited complexity,
against insurgents contesting NATO mainly in the Land, Cyber, and Air Domains.
