NATO SFA COE LECTURED AT THE “NRDC-ITA SFA SEMINAR 2023”
NATO SFA COE representatives (from the Doctrine Development
and Standard Branch & Concept Development & Experimentation Branch)
lectured at the SFA Seminar, held on the 10th of May 2023, and hosted by the
Headquarters NATO Rapid Deployable Corps in Solbiate Olona (VA).
The SFA Seminar, entitled “SFA within the continuum of
competition” emphasized the importance of the role of the SFA planning process
in supporting NATO missions and in improving the development of Host Nations’
Local Forces and their Institutions referring to the NATO core tasks and NATO
core policies. In particular, Mr. Luciolli (President of the Atlantic Treaty
Association), moderated the numerous experts from the NATO SFA COE, the
Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG), the Italian Army Post Conflict Operations
Study Centre (PCOSC) in Turin, the NATO Strategic South Hub in Naples and the
UK Representative (in relation to a case study on a conflict situation), which
added a significant value to the event. The SFA Seminar was attended by
relevant representatives from the NATO Command Structure and the NATO Force
Structure, who were able to fully appreciate the enabling role of SFA in the
current challenging operational and strategic scenarios.
