NATO SFA COE joined the EAPTC 2023
From the 7th to the 9th of June 2023, a NATO SFA COE Subject
Matter Expert participated in the 11th Annual Conference of the European
Association of Peace Operations (EAPTC 2023), organised by the European
Security and Defence College (ESDC) in Brussels.
The conference was comprised of sessions and panel
discussions featuring experts in peace operations and crisis management working
for EU institutions. It brought together several institutes involved in
military, police, diplomatic and civilian training, as well as think tanks and
universities across Europe. The main objective of the conference was to build
and strengthen regional cooperation in these areas.
To establish a fruitful and efficient cooperation, the NATO
SFA COE, as a member of ESDC, is currently examining the potential for a shared
training program. This initiative involves the development of a specialized
course that focuses on the essential skills and tools required for the latest
generation of civilian and military DCB/SSR advisors and operators.
