NATO SFA COE joined the “NATO Stability Policing's role in Human Security" conference and workshop.
From the 19th to the 22nd of June 2023, a team from the NATO
Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence (NATO SFA COE) participated in
the “NATO Stability Policing's role in Human Security" conference and
workshop.
This conference and workshop were organized by the NATO
Stability Policing Centre of Excellence, in Vicenza, Italy.
The event sought to increase the knowledge and go in depth
into the relation between Stability Policing and Human Security in general and
the Cross-Cutting Topics in particular.
The representatives of the NATO SFA COE had the opportunity
to learn more and examine the areas of the HS Approach where the NATO SFA COE
can give a contribution related to SFA activities, in particular the five
Cross-Cutting topics: combatting human trafficking; protection of children in
armed conflict; preventing and responding to conflict-related sexual violence;
protection of civilians; and cultural property protection while conducting SFA
activities.
The NATO SFA COE emphasized its strong commitment to support
and contribute to the NATO Human Security Approach and Guiding Principles,
through conducting research and studies and developing analysis products
related to the implementation of the HS Approach during NATO SFA operations,
missions or activities.
