NATO SFA COE PARTICIPATED IN THE NATO TRAINING TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (NTTC)
From the 14th to the 16th of September, the NATO
SFA COE joined the NATO Training Technology Conference (NTTC), organised in
hybrid mode, by the Supreme Allied Command Transformation (HQ SACT) and arrived
to the third annual iteration.
This year's theme was “Reshaping NATO Training
Post-Pandemic”.
The Conference was aimed to share the new developments in the
training technology domain to be innovative, efficient and effective following
the pandemic. NTTC will also serve as a venue for collaboration, networking and
sharing best practices.
The Conference was opened with welcome remarks by the ACOS
Joint Force Development (JFD) HQ SACT, Brigadier General Ilmars Lejins,
and moderated by the Training Technology Staff Officer, Mr. Cem Kumsal, as
event organizer.
The topics of Interest shared and discussed with the SMEs
were lessons learned from the pandemic, but also the new horizons of different
types of Learning (Advanced Distributed, Micro/Mobile, Modern Learning
Environments and Innovation, Blended) in the innovative field of action, as
Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality, Immersive Environments/Gamification or
Artificial Intelligence.
NTTC was aimed at personnel involved in NATO training and
education who is looking for new tools, technologies, strategies and practices
to enhance their knowledge, expertise, and capability with learning
technologies.
For that reason, the Conference was a great occasion for NATO
SFA COE SMEs, not only to discover the new horizons of training technology
within NATO, but also to meet institutions, military and civilian societies
engaged in this field.
