NATO SFA COE E&T BRANCH PARTICIPATED IN THE INDIVIDUAL TRAINING AND EDUCATION PROGRAM PLANNING BORD (IPB-BOARD).
From the 26th to the 28th of October 2021 the NATO SFA COE
Education and Training Branch representatives joined the Individual Training and
Education Program Planning Board (IPB) organized by NATO – Allied Command
Transformation (ACT) and hosted at the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational
Training Centre (NMIOTC) – Chania (Greece).
IPB supports the NATO Global Programming with the aim of
creating a consolidated update to the Individual Training and Education
Programme (ITEP). The ITEP is the programme that aims to match NATO Education
and Individual Training (E&IT) requirements and opportunities and provide
E&IT solutions to fulfil NATO assigned missions in an effective, efficient
and affordable way.
Consequently, the purpose of the ITEP Planning Board (IPB)
was to support the NATO E&IT Production Planning Process (PPP),
facilitating the production of the annual NATO ITEP, providing a forum for the
stakeholders to discuss related issues and, finally, supporting the NATO Global
Programming Approach.
During the event, important news and tools were provided
about the NATO electronic Individual Training and Education Programme (e-ITEP)
Management System.
The vision for NATO E&IT is to deliver the right
training, to the right people, in the right place, at the right time in an
effective, efficient and affordable manner.
In person and virtual participants from different NATO
relevant Organizations and entities discussed common topics in order to
coordinate interdisciplinary issues and to exchange good practices.
